With the holidays right around the corner, we could all use a little cheer and merriment. Luckily, American Express is bringing our nation’s airports a touch of joy this month. Amex Cheer, which launched in eight Centurion Lounges across the U.S. Monday, and runs through the 17th, brings American Express Card Members a taste of the season in partnership with some of the world’s most illustrious chefs and mixologists, creating one-of-a-kind dining and beverage experiences only available this December.

Participating Centurion Lounge Executive Chefs include Cédric Vongerichten (LaGuardia Airport and Las Vegas’ McCarran International Airport), Dean Fearing (Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport), Daniel Patterson (San Francisco International Airport), Michelle Bernstein (Miami International Airport), Justin Yu (Houston’s George Bush International Airport), Michael Solomonov (Philadelphia International Airport). Additionally, Head Mixologist for all Centurion Lounges, Jim Meehan, owner of the James Beard award-winning bar PDT in New York City, will be serving up cocktails at the Seattle-Tacoma International Airport.

"I'm thrilled to be with my American Express partners in The Centurion Lounge as a chef-partner to celebrate the holidays by sharing one of my favorite granola recipes, banana bread flavor, and spreading the love even further by getting a spice that I created inspired by the flavors of South Florida,” says Michelle Bernstein. “Can't wait to surprise you all at the holiday cheer event and my favorite lounge at the Miami airport!”

The Centurion Lounge food and beverage partners will not only make special surprise appearances at lounges, but also engage Card Members in tastings, crafting custom holiday recipe cards, blending exclusive spices, and will be offering exclusive cookbook signings. Card Members will also receive treats like L’Occitane skin care sets, Vosges chocolates, Allure beauty boxes, Sanctuary T stations by Marriott, and Dopp Kit sets from Away curated by Platinum Collective member Jen Rubio, co-founder and Chief Brand Officer of Away.

“This holiday season, millions of Card Members will rely on American Express to ease their travel,” said Chris Cracchiolo, SVP, Global Loyalty & Benefits, American Express. “We are thrilled to partner with the Executive Chefs and Head Mixologist of The Centurion Lounges to bring our Card Members custom seasonal offerings within our Centurion Lounges to help make their holiday travel a little more enjoyable.”

Those across the pond can also take part with the launch of American Express’ pop-up Centurion Lounge in London, December 13 to 16.
