Phillips auction house is known for having some of the most sought-after works of art, furniture, and accessories. But it's their jewels department that's received a lot of attention lately and spurred the company into thinking about unique ways to appease that market. The result was the launch of Flawless, a new online shopping destination offering exceptional jewels for immediate purchase.
The platform will feature pieces from other renowned houses, including Cartier Tiffany & Co., Van Cleef & Arpels, Chaumet, and Mauboussin. Buyers will be able to scoop up everything from a one-carat engagement ring to an Art Deco Tutti Frutti Cartier bracelet via text, email, phone, WhatsApp, and more. Also, particular jewelers will be highlighted on the site allowing new faces to enter a typical traditional market.

That first jeweler will be Shaun Leane, who created 12 fine jewelry pieces for the launch. Those items will be a mix of iconic creations and bespoke pieces designed to celebrate the 21st anniversary of the House of Shaun Leane and the recent launch of the book Shaun Leane, published by ACC Art Books.
"While creating my book, it was a joy to reflect over the many different facets and diversity of my career," Leane told Departures. "From collaborations in fashion with Alexander McQueen and High Jewellery with Boucheron to architecture and public realm with Grainger PLC, all of these collaborations have incorporated different elements of design, craft, and materials."
He added, "When I began to think about the pieces I wanted to create for the launch of this collection, it was important to me to demonstrate all of these components and different influences. These fine and high jewelry pieces were designed with a fearless contemporary approach and crafted with excellent craftsmanship. It is essential for me that all the pieces retain my recognizable handwriting and an energy which makes the wearer feel empowered and chic."

Some of those pieces include Couture Feather Fan Earrings for $17,100, a Sapphire Shield Ring for $199,800, Armis Cuffs for $62,800, a Couture Quill Choker in 18ct yellow gold vermeil for $17,400, and Diamond Quill Earrings for $56,900.
The collaboration between Phillips and Leane will continue into 2021, with a selling exhibition dedicated to his work in London and New York.
