Double Vision

In the hills of Los Angeles, two designers inhabit a modern bohemia.

Updating your closet for spring doesn’t have to mean shopping from the same menswear brands and shops you always do. While sticking to your favorite online or brick-and-mortar fashion destinations is totally ok, adding a few pieces from new brands will freshen up your wardrobe and your look.

Fortunately, you don’t have to get into a plane and jet off across the pond to discover the latest trendy labels. Thanks to the Internet and worldwide delivery, you can do it all from the comfort of your couch.

So whether you are looking to add a little Italian flair to your attire or your closet needs a dose of cool Swedish minimalism, these online retailers are making sure you can get your shopping fix without leaving your house.

Mr. Porter

The London-based Mr. Porter needs no introduction. As part of the Yoox Net-a-Porter Group, the menswear-only online retailer offers an incredibly large range of ready-to-wear brands (more than 450) as well as express worldwide shipping to 170 countries (with same day service in London and New York).

Gentlemen can find not only a chic selection of menswear fashion but also accessories (and that includes luxury watches), shoes, grooming and beauty products, and a collection of lifestyle items such as books, candles, and art prints.

It’s basically your one-stop e-shop for all things stylish.

Très Bien

If your closet is in need of a streetwear-inspired update, then Très Bien is the way to go.

Despite its French name, Très Bien actually hails from Sweden. The Malmo-based company started out as a contemporary menswear boutique in 2006 but has since expanded its presence with a brick-and-mortar store in London as well as an e-shop that offers free worldwide shipping on all orders over 80 euros.

The selection of brands includes cool Scandinavian names such as Acne and Our Legacy as well as Très Bien’s in-house label and bigger international names such as Prada, CDG, and Raf Simmons.

Berlin’s VooStore

Berlin’s fashion scene is booming and if you’re craving a visual taste of the city’s unique sense of style, VooStore can deliver it straight to your door. The concept store’s mission is to be “an exploration in modern design, visual culture and the future of luxury retail.” What does that translate into?

VooStore’s online selection of menswear brands includes the Berlin-based Goetze and GmbH as well as more familiar names such as JW Anderson, Maison Margiela, and Dries Van Noten.

Don’t forget to also browse (and add to your cart) through VooStore’s Goods section that includes unisex fragrances by Ormaie, Abel, and 19-69.

France’s 24 Sèvres

If your visits to Paris always include a stop at Le Bon Marché, then you’re going to love 24 Sèvres. It’s essentially the online home of the iconic department store (if you still haven’t figured that out by its name that references Le Bon Marché’s Parisian street address).

What distinguishes 24 Sèvres from other luxury retailers is that it also offers one-on-one video consultations with stylists who can give you professional advice on how to add that famous je ne sais quoi to your wardrobe. Another benefit of shopping here? Since the online store is also owned by LVMH, you can find exclusive items as well as pieces from the latest collections from brands such as Dior, Balenciaga, and Celine (that are also owned by LVMH). Oh, and the free worldwide shipping is another perk we can’t complaining about.

Italy’s Luisa Via Roma

Luisa Via Roma’s history dates back to 1930 when Olga and Lido Panconesi opened the LUISA boutique on Via Roma in Florence, Italy. They named the store after Olga’s grandmother—French hat designer Luisa Jaquin who had owned a small boutique in Paris.

Fast forward some 90 years later and Luisa Via Roma, still family-owned and headquartered in Florence, is one of the best online luxury markets in the world. It constantly updates its already impressive list of brands so whether you’re looking for more niche labels (of which LVR has plenty) such as the Italian footwear designer Mattia Capezzani or you’re in the market for a pair of denim by Versace Jeans, you’ll find it all on Luisa Via Roma. The company also has a rewards program that gives you access to exclusive luxury experiences and gifts so it’s definitely worth signing up.
