Double Vision

In the hills of Los Angeles, two designers inhabit a modern bohemia.

When it comes to high-quality, comfortable bed linen, only one name comes to our minds—Frette. The Italian company was founded in 1860 in Milan and its products quickly became a favorite of European royalty and luxury hotels (even the Orient Express had its tablecloths in the dining car and at some point, the altar of St. Peter’s Basilica in Rome was covered in the Tablecloth of the Holy Virgin also created by Frette). Today, its bed and bath linens can be found in more than 1,500 luxury hotels and spas around the world among which the St. Regis in Aspen and Hotel de Paris Monte-Carlo in Monaco—both American Express Fine Hotels & Resorts properties. And now, just in time for the spring/summer season, you can also update your home with the company’s new lifestyle collection of home accessories and loungewear.

Dubbed Album04, the new line sports some of the Frette’s signature motifs as well as several new designs in beautiful shades of navy and opal blue that would easily match any interior. Decorative pillows in a rich blend of cotton sateen and silk and throws in pure cashmere and suede will add a touch of luxury to any room.

But we are really excited about the new loungewear pieces for both men and women that the company calls “frette-to-wear.” They are crafted from the finest wool, silk, cotton, and linen for the ultimate at-home relaxation experience. From long-sleeved pajamas and bathrobes to cozy suede and leather slippers, this collection makes it so easy to indulge in some me-time at home.

Of course, if you’re looking to add a few new towels in your bathroom or update the linen closet in your vacation home, the new collection has plenty of options for you. For a statement look in the master bedroom, look no further than the new Lotus Flower motif that was inspired by Dutch and Asian ceramics.

Album04 is now available for purchase on frette.com and in all Frette stores.
