The Trend Report: Past Perfect

Courtesy Grove

When we spotted this throw pillow made from a vintage Hermès scarf at Grove, a shoebox of a homestore–cum–floral bar in Manhattan’s West Village, we knew it was just the pop of color our sitting room needed. Savvy proprietor Sarah Tallman scours flea markets, thrift stores, and eBay for scarves, which she then turns into one-of-a-kind pillows backed in suede, linen, cotton, or velvet. Not sure what to do with Mom’s psychedelic Pucci scarf from the seventies? Tallman does custom work as well. $450; 212-673-8300;
