While New York Fashion Week has always provided plenty of over-the-top, out-of-the-box beauty moments, it also sparks fresh makeup and hair inspiration. And the Fall 2018 shows were no exception. From curtain bangs to smoky, blue eyeshadow, these are the looks to recreate come September—or right now.

Alexander Wang
It was all about “powerful beauty” this season at Wang, and while many eyes were on the banana hair clips straight from the ‘80s, the heavily groomed eyebrows made a statement of their own.
Get the look: Lead makeup artist, Diane Kendal, used matte eyeshadow in a shade similar to each models’ hair color to create a boyish, strong brow, then finished with Brow Perfector and Oural Brow Gel, all by NARS.

This sleek ‘do, created by Oribe’s Global Ambassador James Pecis, pays homage to a carefree New York woman. The best part? It’s easy to replicate.
Get the look: Prep with Oribe’s Maximista Thickening Spray, then use a 1.25-inch curling iron to create loose waves in alternate directions. Comb hair into a low ponytail and secure at the nape of the neck. Use Supershine Light Moisturizing Cream to smooth out ends.

Brown is the new black— when it comes to the eyes, at least. To create this “romantic but tough” diffused eye look, makeup artist Gucci Westman was inspired by a pair of brown leather gloves.
Get the look: Cover the eyelids in a chocolate-colored shadow (Westman used Maybelline’s shade four in look one of the Total Temptation Shadow + Highlight Palette), and along the lower lashes. Sweep a deeper brown, such as the brand’s City Mini Palette in Downtown Sunrise, across the crease and lower lash line. Fill waterlines with a brown eyeliner, and finish with a coat of mascara like Total Temptation Mascara in Brownish Black.

Carolina Herrera
Blue proved to be a popular hue for the lids this season, and Herrera’s “midnight smoky,” created by Diane Kendal, using MAC, was a sultry standout.
Get the look: Apply a liner, like MAC’s Modern Twist Kajal Liner in Ocean Liner, to the upper and lower lash lines, carving out the tear ducts. For a heavy wash of color, use the brand’s Pigment in Naval Blue over the eyelid, blending around the inner and outer corners of the eye. Finish with a dab of highlighter on the tear ducts, and a heavy coat of black mascara.

You won’t need a pair of scissors to achieve these faux-fringe bangs, created by TRESemmé NYFW stylist Holli Smith.
Get the look: Create a center part on damp hair, then use small clips at the crown of the head for elevation. With a wide-tooth comb, push forward the front portion of the hair and secure with flat clips. Tuck your hair back, but leave a small amount in front of your ears and secure with clips. Blow dry on a cool setting, and finish with TRESemmé’s Compressed Extend Hairspray Hold Level 4. Remove all clips.

Backstage staple Diane Kendal put the focus on healthy cheeks, and the result was a truly lit-from-within-glow.
Get the look: After applying a sheer foundation, brush a blush like MAC’s Powder Blush in Frankly Scarlet over the cheeks (Kendal used the soon-to-be-released Mineralize Blush in Flirting with Danger), then top with Extra Dimension Skinfinish (Beaming Blush for fair skin and Glow With It for deeper skin tones).
