Gregory Parkinson and Liseanne Frankfurt: Women’s Fashion and Jewelry

"Liseanne walked into my store, and our friendship was pretty much instantaneous,” says Gregory Parkinson (available at Heist, 1100 Abbot Kinney Blvd.; gregoryparkinson.com), describing his bond with the jewelry designer (who almost exclusively wears his clothes). “She’s my first point of reference.” There’s a synergy between Parkinson and his muse. For his spring collection, the CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund finalist used colorful, metallic French laces, which he layered to painterly effect. “I wanted to use my hands, to draw with the layers and color,” he says. Which is a perspective perfectly aligned with the LFrank Jewelry (1116 Abbot Kinney Blvd.; lfrankjewelry.com) style—Frankfurt suggests piling on her free-spirited designs. “I’m a maximalist,” she says. “Put everything on, then add something.” Frankfurt models a Parkinson dress of combined metallic Lurex laces ($3,375) and jewelry from her own line (from $1,350 for a bangle to $20,000 for a diamond ring). —Tasha Green
