The Cooler Jeweler

“My goal is to imagine what the jewels of tomorrow will be,” says Gaia Repossi, who assumed the role of creative director at her family’s almost 100-year-old jewelry house at the age of 21.

In the seven years since taking the helm, she has certainly done her part in designing the future of fine jewelry by creating pieces with subtlety and discretion rather than status-conscious extravagance. Her clean, graphic jewels, which have become a hallmark of rakishly stylish women around the world, are still made by the ateliers that Repossi has used for the past three generations—it’s tradition without the ostentation.
