The Teams
Eight race crews made up of former America’s Cup winners, Olympic medalists, round-the-world record holders and world champions in a variety of classes made up the teams that competed in Narragansett Bay’s East Passage on a course that ran between Fort Adams in Newport to Jamestown, Rhode Island. The teams that competed were Oracle Team USA-Spithill; Oracle Team USA-Coutts; Energy Team representing France; Luna Rossa-Piranha and Luna Rossa-Swordfish of Palermo, Italy; Artemis Racing representing Sweden; Team Korea; and Emirates Team New Zealand.
