The little-known Italian herb that's waiting to be discovered.

Pasta sauces in Rome and vicinity often have a haunting herbal flavor: part mint, part oregano. It’s from an herb that Romans call mentuccia (in English, lesser calamint), and it’s great on pizza, pork loin and more. We’re waiting for American chefs to discover it and kick our Italian cooking up a notch.
