From his Garment District atelier in Manhattan, Paul Marlow, the erudite former member of cult New York menswear collective Loden Dager, tailors pared-down classics for customers such as architect Charles Renfro, chef Dan Barber and Hollywood writer, director and producer Ryan Murphy. Much like the soft-spoken Marlow himself, his suits don’t advertise themselves loudly; their genius is in the details. Eclectic personal touches like dyed-shell buttons and colorful vintage linings set his suiting apart. Suits start at $1,900; by appointment only; paul-marlow.com.
