In the latest chapter of Miami’s “Manhattanization,” the city’s Design District welcomes luxury Italian leather goods house Tod’s to the neighborhood. Newly opened this December, the brand’s second Floridian boutique extends across a sprawling 2,400-square-foot, Bonetti & Kozerski–designed showroom. In true Tod’s fashion, tanned “Vacchetta” leather coats the 15-foot walls, which are topped off with an ever-evolving collection of artwork curated by the brand’s creative team. And in true Miami fashion, these mobile walls fold, bend, and adjust, morphing the space from a retail space to a blue chip gallery in an instant. The boutique’s combination of classic elements (dark wood, grey marble) and modern accents (a mirrored runway, floating shelves) reflects the brand’s unique balancing act of tradition and innovation.

Within, shoppers can indulge in a wide selection of the current seasons’ ready-to-wear and accessories for men and women. Additionally, the store will feature spontaneous limited-edition offerings. Be sure to check out the store’s current must-have pieces, including classic sneakers and Gommino loafers for men, heeled and wedged sandals for women, and the special-edition Double T bags in exotic skins in honor of the store’s launch.

Tod’s is located in the Miami Design District at 143 NE 39th St.; 305-576-8132; miamidesigndistrict.net.
