Skeletonized Watches

Skeletonized watches—wherein more than half of the metal of the mechanical movement has been chiseled away, finely engraved, and is visible via a sapphire crystal—easily stole the show this year. Here, the Ralph Lauren 45mm Automotive Skeleton is powered by a hand-wound mechanical movement made for Ralph Lauren by IWC. The brand’s first skeletonized watch, the piece is offered with a bezel of Amboyna burl wood.
