Fresh off its pastel-hued knitwear collaboration with Princess Elisabeth von Thurn und Taxis, Loro Piana is making headlines again with its latest handbag launch.
Today, the luxury company, known for its divinely soft cashmere and vicuna apparel, revealed the newest addition to its accessory line—the leather Sesia top handle bag.
Its feminine silhouette that sports a distinct curve in the upper end is inspired by nature and organic shapes of modernist design, invoking Loro Piana’s commitment to celebrating the connection between the natural world and human invention.
The handbag was named after the Sesia Valley and river in northwest Italy, where the company’s headquarters are located.
“Sesia is designed to be enjoyed with both the eyes and the hands, soaking up the suppleness of the colors while caressing the grain of the leather,” reads a press release from the brand. Just like with everything signed Loro Piana, premium quality takes center stage. The bag is available in several leather finishes such as grain matte, satin-smooth, and shiny alligator as well as a number of beautiful hues such as rose, mint green, and buttercup yellow all perfect for spring. The classic design features the Loro Piana crest on the bottom right angle in the form of an enamel button, padlocks, and handles. The minimalist sculptural shape of Sesia makes it the perfect year-round handbag for any and every occasion—from work to leisure and evening cocktails.
Ultimately, it is the quintessential Loro Piana bag—timeless, elegant, and crafted with superior quality in mind.
Sesia is available for purchase in several sizes on loropiana.com and in Loro Piana boutiques. Prices start from $3,925.
