Jeans mean all things to all people. They remain at once synonymous with affordable universalism (witness the popularity of jeans by fast-fashion labels like Uniqlo), and, as the spring/summer 2015 launch of the sumptuous Tom Ford Denim collection for men suggests, they also sit at the very top of the luxury-fashion totem pole. The full range comprises everything from painstakingly crafted jeans (made from premium American and Japanese denims cut in slim, straight and regular versions) to suede shirts and knitted Henleys that serve as great layering pieces. (There are also sharp cotton-canvas peak-lapel jackets that elevate ruggedly individualistic pieces to the boardroom.) Ford’s luxe take on ranch dressing also includes a cattle call of western accessories, such as belts, bandannas, cowboy boots and sunglasses.
Jeans, from $540.
