With the third season of New York Fashion Week: Men’s officially behind us, it looks like things are starting to click. As this year’s showcase of Spring/Summer 2017 collections suggests, designers have caught on to the fact that men in the U.S. appreciate quality, comfort, and simplicity. While some still debate whether the Big Apple’s runways are less prestigious (read: high-fashion) than those across the pond, there’s one thing designers who choose to show in New York understand well: the importance of wearability. Whether its designs from trusted stalwarts like Michael Kors and Tommy Hilfiger or relative newcomers like Timo Weiland and Deveaux, men can expect to find pieces they can truly see themselves in. And hasn’t that been the point all along?
