In this weekly series, we bring you a different timepiece worth collecting now.
This year at the Salon International de la Haute Horlogerie in Geneva in January, Cartier stepped up its offerings and unveiled an exciting, all-new collection: Drive de Cartier. The watch line introduces a brand-new cushion-shaped, retro-inspired case updated with modern lines. Several versions—including a three-hands with date iteration, a dual time zone retrograde style, and, at the highest end, a tourbillon—are being offered in either stainless steel or in 18-karat rose gold, each with its respective in-house-made calibers. This particular Drive de Cartier date watch in rose gold—crafted with a white dial, calf leather strap, a small seconds subdial at 6:00, and a mechanical movement—is both entirely of the moment, and effortlessly timeless. Find it in Cartier boutiques starting in May. Price: $19,300; cartier.com.
