Airbnb and New York-based designer Phillip Lim announced their first-ever collaboration today, with three limited-edition loungewear sets for men and women.
Known for his practical, timeless silhouettes and fabrics with fun twists, Lim drew inspiration from his favorite weekend getaways to create luxury sleep sets in his classic 3.1 silhouettes.
The Airbnb x 3.1 Phillip Lim pajama collaboration features three sleep-sets for men and women with designs that evoke Palm Springs, Nashville, and the Catskills. Each pajama set features laser etched buttons with the brands’ logos and the red Airbnb signature "Rausch" color in some of the threading.
"I was thrilled to partner with Airbnb to combine two of my passions: fashion and wanderlust," Lim said in the press release. "This collection is one I am especially proud of as we worked with custom eco fabrics to create elevated sleepwear, inspired by three of my favorite U.S. destinations. Always cool, easy, chic, these pieces effortlessly transition the modern global citizen from evening to adventure, for the “31 hours” of their busy day…”
They'll be available for pre-order on July 12, 2019 through the 3.1 Phillip Lim official site at $225 for the men's sets and $195 for the women's.
The Catskills
“The natural beauty of the Hudson Valley was my inspiration for this sleep set. Alive with verdant greenery, it transports me to cool nights by a fire and crisp days spent hiking mountain trails. We chose a gingham check for these pajamas. It feels youthful, fresh and familiar, a wink to an earlier Americana.”

Palm Springs
“Palm Springs—that storied playground for the Hollywood misfits of yesteryear; a desert oasis with sprawling, split-level homes tucked into the hills. I chose a vintage palm print for this design—a whimsical reminder for me of mid-century modernism and that unabashed ‘60s era sensuality and hedonism.”

Nashville
“Nashville to me is the capital of country music: Patsy Cline, Johnny Cash, and the Grand Ole Opry. It is cool kitsch, polished camp. The only option for Nashville was our custom-designed, 3.1 Phillip Lim leopard print—an homage to the city’s legacy of rock ‘n roll glam.”
