When Marina Bulgari started her own brand, Marina B, in 1978, breaking from her family’s empire was seen as a bold move. So when her nephew Giorgio Bulgari recently took the reins as creative director, he looked to the early years. The resulting Triangoli collection is based on one of Marina’s first designs. Though retired, Marina still weighs in. “She’s 85 now but doesn’t hold back,” says Giorgio. “If she thinks it should be done one way, she tells me.”
