This week, beloved Japanese fashion house Comme de Garçons announced the launch of a new brand: CDG. The venture will drop its first full collection in July (sold at Dover Street Market Japan and on a website designed by the house's visionary founder Rei Kawakubo) and then will expand to other markets in September.

However, to tide Comme de Garçons devotees over until the full CDG line hits—and give them a taste of what's to come—the house also released a preview capsule collection entitled Breaking News, which will only be available in New York City (at the brand's store in Manhattan's Chelsea neighborhood and at Dover Street Market New York).

The capsule will center on vibrant, printed streetwear separates—including bomber jackets, sweatshirts, and trainers—that prominently feature the CDG logo. Six special-edition t-shirts will also be on offer; Each is a collaboration with a different artist or clothing brand, including Adam Lucas (also known as Hanksy), Anti Social Social Club, Better™ Gift Shop by Avi Gold, Brain Dead, Cactus Plant Flea Market, and Dreamland Syndicate.
