Minimalism, functionality, and clean lines usually come to mind when we think about Scandinavian style and that results in an incredibly chic, timeless aesthetic that transcends seasonal trends. And this is exactly the philosophy behind the London-based COS (short for Collection of Style). Ever since the brand—which is owned by the Swedish H&M—launched in 2007, it has built a cult following thanks to its Scandinavian-inspired modern collections comprising of wardrobe staples and reinvented classics that could easily be dressed up or down depending on the occasion. Don’t believe us?

Then let Priyanka Chopra and Michelle Dockery convince you. The actors were recently spotted, wearing winter coats by COS that also credits the worlds of art and design as major inspirations for its collections.

Chopra, who was attending a ball in chilly New York City, donned a custom Salvatore Ferragamo red gown and Bulgari jewelry, kept warm in an elegant belted wool coat with an oversized cut in black. Her stunning look proves you can pair a formal, high fashion piece with a more affordable one without compromising on style.

And then there was Dockery, who was spotted in London looking casually chic in a pair of jeans, loafers, a white top, and a blazer, who also picked a black knee-length wool coat by COS, but this one featured a straight, menswear-inspired fit and peaked lapels.

The best thing about both coats (aside from the fact that both come with a price tag of below $400, of course)? You can wear them every single day with a variety of outfits and look as cool as an A-list celebrity.
