Acne’s New Store and Jack Pierson Bags
It’s been a busy season for the Swedish clothing and accessories brand. On November 15, Acne opened an industrial-chic global flagship store on Madison Avenue, just one block from the iconic Met Breuer building. Just a few days later, the brand released a limited-edition collaboration with artist Jack Pierson, consisting of 100 leather pouches embossed with different phrases (including “Here’s Your Money,” “Again + Again,” “End Less”). The phrases reference five drawings featured in the exhibition catalogue “Caught in the Rain Broken in the Stardust,” originally published for Pierson’s 1994 solo exhibition at Regen Projects in Los Angeles. A second edition of the catalogue is included with each pouch, signed by Pierson with a certificate of authentication. 926 Madison Ave., acnestudios.com.
