The bright colors and intricate patterns synonymous with Marrakech have found a new home in the world of design: right above the iconic red bottoms of Christian Louboutins. Hotel masterpiece owned by the King of Morocco, Royal Mansour Marrakech has partnered with the footwear mogul to produce two exclusive shoe designs, which are only available for purchase at the hotel itself. As if we needed another reason to travel to Morocco.
Inspired by the two brands’ advocation for travel, design, and architecture, these shoes embody luxury and unparalleled craftsmanship. The intricate details of Royal Mansour, from wooden lattice to silvery floral motifs and chiseled bronze, partner with Louboutin's sculptural expertise inform the shoes' design. The brands play with texture and color, paying homage to Moroccan culture and Louboutin’s legacy.
The Lady Mansour pair features laser-cut Specchio leather onlays and geometric shape inlays in matte blush and multiples shades and finishes of gold. Motivated by the intricate carvings that adorn the walls of The Royal Mansour, these delicate flat mules are works of art. Not only is the visual design of this pair truly breathtaking, but the attention to detail that fortifies every pair of Louboutin shoes comes through to the same degree.
The men’s slipper, inspired by traditional Moroccan sandals, draws influence from the classic European loafer as well as casual summer wear. An embroidered star, which both references the Moroccan flag and the iconic écusson of Christian Louboutin, is finished with the Royal Mansour’s initials and stitched to a bed of white cotton canvas.
And, of course, both designs are completed with Louboutin’s signature red sole.
On your way to Morocco? Both pairs of slippers can be purchased from Royal Mansour's boutique, the women's pair for €800 (about $910) and the men's for €500 (about $570).
