Anna Trzebinski's Cashmere Shawls

James T. Murray

Anna Trzebinksi has added a bit of flair to her cult pashminas.

When is a pashmina not just a pashmina? When it’s crafted from pure Tibetan yarn hand-loomed in Katmandu, designed by the singularly chic Anna Trzebinski and trimmed in flamingo, ostrich or peacock feathers by tribal women in her Kenya workshop. Trzebinski’s collection, inspired by the African surroundings and traditions she lives among, has long only been available at select trunk shows in the States. Now, for the first time, her pieces, which include exotic-leather handbags, beaded sandals and crocodile cuffs, can be ordered through her website, Peacock-trimmed cashmere shawls, $1,500 each.
