Made In Mexico

When Jack Miner moved to Mexico City from New York in 2012, he was struck by how the capital defied his (mostly negative) expectations. Despite being married to a man born in Cozumel, he’d anticipated a dark and gritty city. Instead, he found a culturally rich, vibrant metropolis. And having worked at Chris Burch’s venture capital firm, Burch Creative Capital, Miner brought along entrepreneurial ambitions. The result: Hecho, a collection of quietly chic men’s resort wear made entirely in Mexico City. The line launched in 2015 with getaway-geared accessories: a linen tote and pareo, leather mules. Now Miner and his business partner, Daniela Xacur, are expanding into clothing with a collection that manages to make beachy casual wear look polished.
