In celebration of Louis Vuitton’s new “Masters” collection of handbags and accessories, created in collaboration with Balloon Dog artist Jeff Koons, Cate Blanchett showed up at the Louvre in an appropriately high art–inspired ensemble on Tuesday evening. Known for her modish Red Carpet risks, the 47-year-old Australian actress and mother of four—who will play the villainous Hela in Marvel’s upcoming Thor: Ragnarok (premiering November 3)—remained true to character, pairing monochromatic pieces from Louis Vuitton’s fall 2017 collection for one sculptural result. Accessorizing her wool-and-leather vest and paneled-cigarette pant with a cinched leather belt, pointed toe pumps, and a single dangling gold earring, her look was entirely fitting for the company she kept, namely da Vinci’s Mona Lisa, Veronese's Les Noces de Canas, and a marble Emperor Tiberius.
