Located in an elegantly renovated 1920s mansion in the heart of Tel Aviv’s UNESCO-lauded White City, this was the city’s first true boutique hotel when it opened in 2008. Owners and restaurateurs Mati and Ruti Broudo scoured both Manhattan and Mitteleuro-pa for the hotel’s original Bauhaus-era furnishings and covered the walls with artwork by local up-and-comers. The ground floor Franco-Vietnamese restaurant is perennially packed with local media and art-world celebs. Upstairs, its 12 rooms include spacious balconies, well-stocked libraries, and clubby, wooden interiors. Rear-facing rooms avoid noise from the lower-level eatery.
