Le Cinq
Having helped the restaurant at the Hotel George V earn its third Michelin star in 2016, chef Christian Le Squer, formerly of Pavillon Ledoyen, appears to be at the top of his game. The sporty chef (who bikes to work each day) balances traditional French flavors and ingredients with modern cooking masterfully. Five hundred hours are spent each year in research and development in the Le Cinq kitchen and they’ve resulted in innovative dishes like turbot with a truffle fingerling potato emulsion, and crispy shrimp from Brittany with whipped oysters. The elegant dining room with Louis XIV cabinets and gold-plated chairs is a sumptuous place to dine.
