FINE HOTELS & RESORTS MEMBER

The 188-room Le Bristol is one of the only family-owned luxury hotels that remain in Paris, which results in a slightly more personal vibe here. Guest rooms feature works of art from the Oetker family’s own collection and the property maintains an in-house staff of artisans who work to restore the antiques that decorate the hotel. A major renovation in 2014 resulted in brighter common areas, new marble bathrooms, and a new bar. The La Prairie Spa, spread over three levels, offers highly specialized Russian Baniya treatments and the nautical-themed pool, located on the hotel’s sixth floor, may be the only swimming pool in Paris with views of the Eiffel Tower and Sacré-Coeur. (Rooms, from $1,455)
