The Grand Palais
The glass and steel Grand Palais, built for the Universal Exhibition of 1900, is the venue for many of Paris’s most exclusive events, from Chanel fashion shows to an Hermès sponsored horse-jumping competition, so a visit is always a treat. Other more accessible events include exhibitions like a Louis Vuitton retrospective and the gourmet food festival Taste of Paris. But to experience the Grand Palais as almost no one can, La Reserve hotel, located just a few blocks away, can coordinate a private Champagne toast on the roof of the building, typically off-limits to the public. There’s only room for three—a lucky couple, plus security (from $450 a person). The hotel concierge can also coordinate a private midnight dinner inside the exhibition hall for guests.
