Clover
Acclaimed chef Jean-François Piege’s love of travel can be spotted throughout the tasting menu at Clover, his fashionable Left Bank spot where dishes might include a crisp pizza with chickpeas and cilantro or Morroccan-style lamb. The long narrow restaurant with tile walls and a hardwood floor has an open kitchen that bleeds into the dining space so you can always turn your eyes toward the chefs for some entertainment. The wine menu, developed by chef Piege and sommelier Caroline Furstoss, includes unique flourishes like a full vertical of Grange des Pères from 1992 to 2011, as well as exceptional Ports and Madeiras, a nod to Piege’s Portuguese wife, Elodie.
