Blockbuster restaurateur Danny Meyer’s restaurant has something of a split personality, between its sleek, dark bar room (an after-work hotspot) and bright, serene dining room overlooking MoMA’s sculpture garden. Chef Abram Bissell, a vet of Eleven Madison Park, oversees the Michelin two-star restaurant’s kitchen. The bar room offers a relatively more relaxed a la carte menu, albeit with black truffle cavatelli, while the dining room leans into formal luxury with a prix fixe, including dishes like roasted watermelon with creme fraiche and caviar, and chicken baked in brioche with foie-gras sauce. If prices seem high, remember that service is included; Meyer is a no-tipping proponent.
