Russ & Daughters Cafe

Lower East Side
Upscale Jewish Deli

Just around the corner from Russ & Daughters, the beloved century-old New York institution and specialty foods shop, this full-service offshoot reimagines the Jewish appetizing tradition in a nearly all-white space with globe lights and herringbone tiled floors. Fourth-generation owners Niki Russ Federman and cousin Josh Russ Tupper showcase their ancestors’ foods in new ways: light baby knishes are stuffed with caramelized onions and potatoes and halvah appears in ice cream topped with caramel sauce and sesame seeds.
