Lachine Canal Bike Path

Plateau
Park

Opened in 1977, this scenic nine-mile bike path is located in a lush park along the formerly industrial Lachine Canal (see the epic view of the iconic Farine Five Roses sign). In the winter, skiing is an acceptable way to get around. Come summertime, diversions include a floating bar at the Atwater dock, and outdoor chess on the banks of the canal nearby. The Bixi bike share program makes riding in the city easy.
