Claridge’s is known for its Mayfair address, peerless service, and 130-year-old afternoon tea service (the selection is curated with the same scrutiny as a wine list). Its 197 rooms, with Art Deco detailing, marble bathrooms, and windows that actually open (suite 406 has the prettiest balcony) are some of the cities choicest. The guests-only Map Room—with a library curated by bookseller Assouline, snacks, and dedicated staff—is a fine resource for business travelers, and the Fumoir bar is an excellent spot for a nightcap.
