Principe Real

Memmo, a mini chain in Portugal, welcomed its third location in October 2016 with the opening of a 41-room satellite in trendy Principe Real. Longtime Memmo collaborators and architects Samuel Torres de Carvalho and João Correia Nunes created the brand’s sexiest and most luxurious outpost yet. The ground floor is all glass, creating a lightness that from afar makes the four-story property appear like it’s floating on its hillside address. Standard rooms are small, but decked in luxe finishes (Hermès bath amenities, fur throws, Portuguese marble). The small pool overlooking downtown Lisbon, which shares its perch on the edge of the hill with an outdoor bar, is a prime spot for kicking back, day and night. (Rooms, from $225)
