Cooking Lessons at Restaurant Guy Savoy
There are some things that chef Julien Asseo, executive chef of Guy Savoy, will never teach you to cook in his classes in the kitchen of the famed, Michelin-starred restaurant. One of those is Savoy's legendary soup d'artichaut a la truffe noire (a silky artichoke truffle soup with truffles that is a closely guarded secret). Most other stand-out dishes, however, aren't off the table, as it were. Groups of up to six friends can arrange a private cooking lesson with Asseo, which includes making an appetizer and entree, and pairing it with wines picked by Savoy's sommelier. You'll dine right at a private table in the kitchen, and have full back-of-the-house access. (From $265 per person)
