Remember how Mad Men's Betty and Don Draper were even more fabulous in Rome? ABC's new series Pan Am is that in spades. The snappy season debut, which premieres on Sunday, September 25, features a Russian spy, a runaway bride, a coterie of Village beatniks and a tarmac proposal. These pearls are strung together by four unflappable women whose adventures take us to London, Italy and Cuba—in the first episode alone. Margot Robbie plays Laura, the gorgeous newbie, whose looks land her on the cover of Life magazine. Kelli Garner is Kate, her sister, whose encounter with a stranger promises to change her life forever. Karine Vanasse takes on the role of Colette, a French romantic who is surprised to see her boyfriend on board with his family. And Christina Ricci is a bohemian chick longing to see the world. When they exchange glances before Pan-Am's new Clipper takes off for a transatlantic flight, their sense of wonderment and excitement is contagious. This could be the series that puts the magic back in flying. At the very least, it's sure to inspire Halloween costumes.
Remember when flying felt glamorous? These six flight attendants do.
