L.A.-Based Vintage Boutique Decades Pops Up on the Upper East Side
Beginning Monday, Decades—the Los Angeles vintage boutique beloved by style mavens and collectors alike—will host a three-day shopping event at the Society of Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center’s Thrift Shop on Manhattan’s Upper East Side. The first night is by invitation only, but the coveted selection will be available to the public Tuesday and Wednesday, with 10 percent of all proceeds benefiting Memorial Sloan-Kettering.
While Decades will showcase a dizzying array of vintage designer clothing—from the likes of Gucci, Valentino, Hermès and Chloe, as well as accessories from Jimmy Choo and Christian Louboutin—of particular interest is the spectacular Lyn Revson collection. A New York socialite and 1970s beauty icon, Revson donated her wardrobe, filled with Chanel, Burberry and Ralph Lauren, among others, to Decades, and this is the last time shoppers will have privileged access to the rare finds before they return to her estate.
