Dia:Beacon

A former Nabisco box-printing factory on the banks of the Hudson houses Dia:Beacon (3 Beekman St.; 845-440-0100; diaart.org), which displays the art collection of the Dia Art Foundation. Natural light streams in through massive skylights; works found here are by artists including Sol LeWitt, Gerhard Richter and Richard Serra. There is a nice on-site café, but make sure to check out the Roundhouse at Beacon Falls (2 E. Main St.; 845-765-8369; roundhousebeacon.com), a complex of former factory buildings that is now a luxury hotel, spa and restaurant designed by the architecture and design firm Rockwell Group. It overlooks thundering Beacon Falls.
