Buttermilk Falls Inn
Buttermilk Falls Inn, Milton
The West Side’s charms are fully in evidence at this Milton inn, which spreads casually over 70 acres on the banks of the Hudson River. A large working farm (keep an eye out for peacocks and llamas) supplies the property with much of the edibles on offer—heriloom tomatoes, farm fresh eggs, fresh herbs and honey, among them—and there’s an ecofriendly spa with a long list of treatments (signature facial, $110 for an hour). There are ten antique-dotted rooms in the main house (dating back to 1764) and another 20 among the guest cottages and houses scattered on the flower-covered property. Rooms start at $300; 220 N. Rd.; 845-795-1310; buttermilkfallsinn.com.
