“It has a playfulness to it but also makes a very serious comment on consumer- ism as being intrinsic to humanity,” Piper says of Fallis’s 22 grocery carts balanced on rods extending from a central vertical pole. Forming a double helix, it was made to mark the 50th anniversary of the discovery of the structure of DNA.
