Fittingly, Toronto opens with the latest from Jean Marc Valle the Quebecois director whose been a regular fixture at the Oscars the past two years with Dallas Buyers Club and Wild. Teaming up with the always fascinating Jake Gyllenhaal, Vallee tells the story of an investment banker who goes off the deep end after his wife dies in a car crash, tearing his old life apart literally and figuratively as he deals with his grief.
