High atop the Mori Tower, the centerpiece of the new Roppongi Hills commercial-and-residential development in downtown Tokyo, the brand-new Mori Art Museum is putting the finishing touches on its inaugural exhibition, Happiness: A Survival Guide for Art and Life, which opens October 18. The museum, designed by architect Richard Gluckman, features a dramatic 100-foot-tall glass-and-steel cone entry hall that funnels visitors into elevators that shoot directly up to the 52nd and 53rd floors, which contain 31,820 square feet of exhibition space.
