Chartering a yacht is one of the best ways to map out your very own itinerary and sail to your chosen destinations. The world’s most expensive yachts, predictably, come with a steep price tag to rent but the amenities are over-the-top—outfitted with swimming pools, five-star hotel service, fine dining options, and more. These superyacht charters are a selection of some of the most expensive yachts money can buy—well, charter. And they can be yours indefinitely, whether you’re planning a family vacation, a work trip for your company, or an extended tour of the South Pacific.
FLYING FOX
Flying Fox typically hosts up to 22 people, with the option to hold up to 54 crew members, ensuring a crew-to-guest ratio of more than 2:1. With minimalist-modern interiors, this megayacht feels light and luxurious—the kind of boat you could comfortably take up residence in for more than just a one-week rental. There’s a beach club on board, in addition to the most elevated version of the classic amenities: a 39-foot swimming pool, a spa that spans two floors, a deck jacuzzi, and a helipad. Flying Fox debuted this year and is the largest (and arguably most expensive yacht) available for public charter at 446-feet long. To charter:

LEGEND
LEGEND is known for as the adventure superyacht, heading to remote corners of the area surrounding Antarctica. Adventure doesn’t mean sacrificing luxury, though: On board, guests will find a 16-person jacuzzi, a Balinese spa, piano and whisky bars, and delectable meal preparation. The superyacht can also be further outfitted according to clients’ needs—a helipad can be put in, and the 19-person crew is equipped to facilitate exploration and education in a way you’re unlikely to find on any other vessel.
To charter: Pelorus; $550,000
KISMET
To give you a sense of the Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous vibe of this yacht, we’ll say this: Beyonce and Jay-Z have chartered Kismet to sail the Amalfi Coast. On board, you’ll find multiple pools, a full-service spa, and a basketball court. The 312-foot superyacht was built in 2014, and the exteriors were styled by Espen Oeino. The highlight of the exterior design is the tiled-pool with a built-in jacuzzi on the upper deck, where you can take in the views streaming by while floating in the pool.
To charter: Moran Yacht & Ship; $1,338,000 during high season
TRANQUILITY
The 300-foot TRANQUILITY can host up to 22 people, making it not only one of the world’s most expensive yachts, but a superyacht that can play host to a record number of people. The motor yacht has 10 rooms, including the master suite and three VIP staterooms. While cruising at 15 knots, guests can enjoy the massive jacuzzi on the deck and the spa outfitted with Turkish baths, sauna, and steam room. Day trips are especially easy, seeing as there’s a heli-pad on board.
To charter: Charter Index; $1,249,375
NIRVANA
Nirvana steams through the western Mediterranean in the summer and takes to the Indian Ocean and Southeast Asia in the winter. With the ability to host 12 people across six cabins, the exteriors have a classic Mediterranean vibe: light blue, fine wood and linen, and sparkling pools. The master suite of Nirvana has a skylight and nearly panoramic views thanks to the “wraparound windows.” Each spring, Nirvana is based in the Maldives and can take private charters to the rarely accessible and nearly undiscovered corners of the archipelago.
To charter: Y.CO; $1,003,365
