You know how Polo is called “The Sport of Kings?” Well, now you get to experience the horseback mounted team sport like royalty. This polo season, two of Waldorf Astoria Resorts most iconic and luxurious properties in Southern California—American Express Fine Hotels & Resorts property The Waldorf Astoria Beverly Hills and La Quinta Resort & Club—have joined forces to create an exclusive package over President’s Day weekend that includes private jet transfer and VIP seating at the Private Polo Exhibition Match for four people.
Your lavish trip starts on February 14, where you will check in to your Deluxe King Room at the Waldorf Astoria Beverly Hills. That evening enjoy a six-course chef’s tasting menu with beverage pairings at Jean-Georges Beverly Hills before retiring for the night.
The next day, you’ll have breakfast at Jean-Georges Beverly Hills again before boarding your private jet to watch the match in Greater Palm Springs courtesy of Desert Jet. Once at the match, you get a champagne toast, VIP seating in the private Owner’s Suite at Empire Polo Club, followed by an exclusive BBQ with the players. Plus, the occasion will be marked with custom polo jerseys from Casablanca. Finish the day with accommodations in the Spa Villa Suite at La Quinta Resort & Club, a chef’s table dinner for four at Morgan’s in the desert.
On Sunday, breakfast will be set up at Twenty6 restaurant before you’re whisked away to the Empire Polo Club, where you can watch another day of matches from the private Owner’s Suite complete with player visits, food, and beverage presentations and more. You’ll get another night at La Quinta Resort & Club and a tequila dinner at Adobe Grill.
The whirlwind polo-themed weekend ends on Monday when a private jet returns you to Santa Monica Airport, and a waiting car takes back to the Waldorf Astoria Beverly Hills.
“We are thrilled to be a part of this once-in-a-lifetime experience that benefits such a worthy cause,” said Chris George, Director of Marketing at La Quinta Resort & Club and PGA WEST. “Complete with lavish overnight accommodations at two iconic Waldorf Astoria properties, over-the-top dining, private jet transfer, and VIP seating at the Private Polo Exhibition Match, this experience is the ultimate offering for the discerning traveler that is seeking something truly unique.”
So, what does this over-the-top package cost? It will set you back $40,000 for the weekend. But, a portion of the proceeds will benefit the Tower Cancer Research Foundation in Beverly Hills, a center dedicated to clinical research, patient support, and community education.
The package is available President’s Day Weekend 2020 from Friday, February 14 to Monday, February 17. To book, contact Brittney Sequeira at Brittney.sequeira@waldorfastoria.com.
