Life is about to get much easier for mobile-savvy, design-loving travelers, hoteliers, and content creators.
By serving shorter attention spans and making travel content instantly bookable, in just a swipe up and tap, brand new app SIX Travel is set to revolutionize the hotel booking process and the travel industry with their AI-powered platform.
The travel industry is facing an age of overwhelming social discovery with 68% of the 83.1 million millennials now turning to Instagram to discover and book their travel online, according to SIX Travel representatives. Many of us are already screenshoting and saving hotels to our Instagram collections—SIX Travel saw the gap in the market and have shortened that process.
"Instagram is a key inspiration and discovery platform. We wanted to go to where people are already discovering new stays, and deliver them a beautiful solution without the clutter and stress" said the app's co-founder Khalid Meniri.
As well as a downloadable iOS app that uses predictive modeling and machine learning to recognize and analyze social media and digital content to generate hyper-relevant hotels and experiences, SIX Travel works directly with hotels and influencers to create links that allow would-be travelers to swipe up directly from a collection of expertly-curated design-led hotels and book in one tap using Apple Pay or a saved credit card, all while staying within the social platform.
The hotels available are "double curated" for their design and function and vetted by the founders and their industry insider team to "guarantee something great." They currently have 2,000 stunning stays across six continents including Rosewood London, Stockholm favorite Et Hem, and Paris' Le Pigalle.
The influencers involved are also picked and vetted for their style and design eye, "much like the hotels" Meniri explained. They work with over 250 wanderlust-inducing Instagram influencers (including New York-based @babba.c and UK-based @majamalnar) who go through the app's data-vetting tool "Entourage" that measures their reach and relevance, and predicts how many bookings a hotel could get by collaborating with that influencer.
SIX Travel launches October 9th. Later this year they plan to roll out their "Insights" platform that gives hotels the ability to track analytics and stats about booked stays.
