For people flying via private jet in and out of the New York City area, Teterboro is the go-to airport. But it’s about to get even more popular as Jet Linx—the second largest Part 135 private jet management company in the U.S.—will be opening its newest private terminal at the hub. And the first of its kind for the New York City area.

As the only private aviation company to offer dedicated private terminals for clients, Jet Linx’s New York terminal marks the company’s 18th location delivering distinguished privacy and national services on a localized level. Just 13 miles from midtown Manhattan, the terminal was designed by the esteemed Paul Bennett Architects featuring modern finishes like cognac leather, fluted glass, and teak woods. The new private terminal also welcomes a private conference room, lounge, and kitchenette featuring complimentary food and beverages.

“We are thrilled to announce the opening of our New York private terminal, offering the greater New York area the benefit of our unique and unparalleled local service model,” Jamie Walker, President & CEO of Jet Linx, told Departures. “We are dedicated to serving our clients in a way no other company can, by providing them with guaranteed private jet services, on a local level, to personally serve their individual needs. We’re excited to introduce Jet Linx and our Forbes five-star standards to the local community.”

Jet Linx has a unique business model which takes people who own private jets and puts them together with people who want to fly private. If you want to use a private jet, you sign up for a Jet Card that gives you access to over 100 aircraft in the U.S. at the 18 locations and can fly anywhere in the world.

There are two levels—the Club Card and Executive Card—that have different rates and access. But, essentially, you are only billed when you fly and not upfront like other private aviation companies. This makes them the two most consumer-friendly, cost-effective jet cards in the industry. Plus they establish close partnerships with local leaders to personalize the nationally-recognized brand’s private aviation services to specific cities. You can even request specific pilot and aircraft.

Jet Linx has managed to fly under the radar while quietly expanding into nearly every major market in the U.S. (Austin, DC, Boston, etc.). This very purposeful approach is led by Jet Linx president, Jamie Walker and has allowed Jet Linx to take the private aviation world by storm while maintaining a low profile and always prioritizing what they think should be most important: safety, customer service and of course, maintaining client privacy.

To kick off their New York presence and tout the service, the company is hosting an official Grand Opening Celebration at Teterboro Airport on September 25 where singer-songwriter Alexa Ray Joel will perform and delectable bites will be curated by upscale New York City Japanese restaurant Nobu.
