One&Only is known for its five-star properties in some of the world's most stunning destinations. But, incredibly, the brand never opened a hotel in Europe. That is until now. One&Only Portonovi in Montenegro marks the brand's expansion into their fifth continent and first European property. And it has everything you'd expect from the luxury hospitality brand.
Located on the shores of the Adriatic Sea, the property features private sandy beaches, fine dining by Michelin-starred chef Giorgio Locatelli, and a "revolutionary" wellness experience dubbed Chenot Espace. Meanwhile, the accommodations include rooms and suites with panoramic views, cozy fireplaces, and private outdoor space to enjoy the unique coastline views. It also marks the first time One&Only is offering the opportunity to invest in a permanent home in Europe, each one boasting its own private beach and butler.

As far as the gastronomy offerings, Sabia by Locatelli will be the signature restaurant serving up local Southern Italian cuisine, while Tapasake Club will transform from day to night with contemporary Japanese cuisine as the foundation. And the wellness experience available will include detoxing and resetting the body using the Chenot Method. This includes in-depth diagnostic tests followed by a variety of prescribed therapies like hydrotherapy and cryotherapy.
While there is plenty to do onsite, the property also helps arrange excursions as well. Guests of One&Only Portonovi can explore the many secluded beaches and ancient towns surrounding the area and go diving in ancient tunnels and caves.

"The opening of One&Only Portonovi is a milestone for us," Philippe Zuber, chief executive officer, Kerzner International, told Departures. "It sets a precedent for a new level of luxury in the region, with unrivaled service, spectacular accommodation, and incredible guest experiences, set between enchanting mountains and the beautiful Adriatic coastline; ultimately introducing a new Riviera."
