Bermuda is home to some of the world's most stunning scenery with plenty of history mixed in. And a new hotel on the island luxuriously combined those two. Set to open later this month, the St. Regis Bermuda Resort is located steps from the white sand of St. Catherine's Beach and 17th-century forts. In fact, the onsite Five Forts golf course lets you play one of the most beautiful (and historic) rounds of golf ever.
Located in St. George's, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, the resort features everything you'd expect from a St. Regis. It's home to luxe accommodations with ocean views, top-notch dining, a spa named Iridium Spa, etc., the world-renowned St. Regis Butler Service. The property is also home to a pool deck featuring two pools, each featuring loungers and stylishly appointed private cabanas to take in the oceanfront views.

But, for history and golf lovers, the highlight has to be the restored golf course at Five Forts Golf Club. The 18-hole course is surrounded by five forts, including the famous Fort St. Catherine, dating back to the 1600s. Plus, you're promised panoramic ocean views from every hole.
Embracing this proximity, even more, the hotel also has a St. Regis Evening Ritual that dates back to the battles of Napoleon Bonaparte. The French leader famously opened champagne with his saber after a battle, so the property decided to host a daily Champagne Sabering at 6:00 pm for guests.

While you never have to leave the resort to enjoy a Bermuda vacation, the hotel team is happy to help set up off-property excursions. Guests can book Bermuda food tours, kayaking, cave experiences, and more through Marriott Tours & Activities.
Jan Vanhaelewyn, General Manager, told Departures, "Bermuda is an exquisite location within the world, encompassing a captivating backdrop of elegance in the historic town of St. George's, and we are thrilled to open the first St. Regis property in this attractive destination for global luxury travelers."
